After 19 years of driving DJs and VIP clients and sleeping in my car outside clubs and restaurants I had a crazy dream…
To get outside and ride my bike.
That dream led me to discover one of the most incredible cycling regions in Europe, here in the north of Almería. From the moment I arrived, I knew this place was special and I wanted to share it with other cyclists.
The journey began when the first group of riders arrived in Almería in 2019 to explore these mountains with us..
But the journey didn’t follow the script.
There was the pandemic.
My own battle with cancer.
My Bull Terrier Millie facing cancer too.
And in early 2023, losing my beloved Mum was the hardest moment of all, and one that still hurts.
And yet, here we are.
Ready to ride again.
With new bikes arriving, a 12 page feature and front cover article in Cyclist magazine and we have a fresh energy for the road ahead, Velo Velefique continues the journey that started with one simple idea.
To share this extraordinary cycling landscape with others.
