Mike's Paradise
My friends and I hired Velo Velefique in late November, and my biggest single takeaway was how hard those rides would have been had we not been supported.
The roads are quiet, the climbs are epic and the weather, even at the time of year, was perfect (22C if you're asking). It really is a cycling paradise...but we had an inkling it was going to be that good.
The real 'twist' was having Stu of Velo Velefique there to support us along the way. The villages are quiet and it could be hard to work out your fuelling so having a guide, mechanic, chef, cheerleader and biscuit provider really added to the whole experience. We did not have to think about anything except turning the pedals.
Doing the rides is one thing, doing it with support is another level. Looking forward to the next one, Stu.

Ed's Adventure
Having recently returned from a 3 day cycling tour with the guys at Velo Velefique, I cannot recommend them enough!
Stuart was a great guide, he put together some routes based on the kind of rides we were hoping to do and every single one of them was fantastic. He knows the roads well and it was great having that local knowledge on the road. The routes were superb, some of the quietest, smoothest roads I’ve cycled on, perfect weather and stunning vistas. This area is a cycling paradise!
Highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the climb up Velefique, one of the hardest days I’ve ever had on the bike, but also one of the most rewarding. The views from the top were stunning. Stuart’s partner Sylvia was waiting for us at the top with drinks, arm warmers, and perhaps the best sandwiches I’ve had in years (well needed). A great set-up.
Off the bikes, Stuart was great as well. He helped us arrange accommodation and took us to the best restaurants and bars in the area, and we took full advantage of his local knowledge. 100% would recommend.

Roy's First Visit
A big thank you to Stuart and his wife Sylvia for a great job on our recent trip! Almeria is an untapped cyclists dream with challenging climbs, quiet roads and the kind of weather that you can only dream of…every single day!!!
We climbed Velefique in March, it was 20 degrees and I counted only two other vehicles on the road in 16kms of riding! (one of which was Sylvia in the support van!) And what a climb that is, highly recommended!
Stu has an extensive list of memorable routes to suit all levels. But just as important is that you’ll enjoy his company and the many stories of his 20+ years living in Ibiza. What a life! When you’re in the saddle for a good chunk of your day then it’s important to ride with a guide that you connect with and our whole group enjoyed his company and we all continue to stay in contact via the Whatsapp group we set up whilst there.
When we return it will 100% be with Velo Velefique. Thanks for the memories Stuart & Sylvia.
